A long island native and Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu cooking school of London, Chef / Partner, Tim Eagan has spent numerous seasons behind the ranges of some of the most celebrated restaurants in the area.

Early in his career Tim worked for the Successful restauranteur Drew Nieporent in the kitchens of Montrachet (NYC), Della Femina (East Hampton) and Tribeca Grill (NYC).

Moving to NYC Tim worked at F.illi Ponte Steakhouse and the celebrity owned restaurant Luahn before spending some time in Brazil opening two restaurants “Do Batelli” in Ipanema and “The Business Club” in Sao Paulo.

When an opportunity to run the culinary department of The Saucon Valley Country Club (a world class facility) in the Lehigh Valley of Pennyslvania came along, it was too good to pass up. Tim spent the last 8 years running that facility and instituting a state of the art meat aging program for its membership of over 1000 strong.

Gastropub long islandAdditionally, Tim also was invited to manage two USGA events including the 2009 Women’s US Open Golf Championship.

Lured to partner up with his old friend and restauranteur Gerry McClorey, Tim has found the home to hang his toque. Together they have created the beautiful Crown Gastropub in Bellmore Long Island. A home for both Gerry’s vision and Tim’s passion for great food and service. Boasting a variety of nearly 200 whiskey’s, bourbons and Rye’s The Crown will also age and hand cut it’s carefully selected Black Angus beef.

White oak flooring reclaimed from the Gymnasium of an old NY schoolhouse, Hand poured glass blocks from Wisconsin to highlight the room, Walnut wood for the bar top which brings warmth to the Antique Bar back dating from the mid 1800’s and reclaimed from Johnsonville CT, are just a few touches that begin to describe the passion Gerry has for this Restaurant.

The finest materials have gone into building this intimate modern Gastropub delivering a warm dining room with a handcrafted feel. Tim will deliver the same level of excellence by using the finest ingredients available from hand selected beef to local seafood and produce, only the best will suffice.
